Busan Museum & UN Cemetry
Bangun pagi agak lewat hari ini, hari ini kita orang planning nak ke Gamcheon cultural park..sampai sana tak jadi masuk akhirnya pergi ke Busan museum,Un memorial Cemetery.
Untuk ke Busan Museum dari Busan Station naik subway line no.2 dari Haeundae station turun di Daeyon station, keluar exit no.3 atau no 5,masuk lorong sebelah kanan kena tengo atas untuk lihat signboard ke Busan museum dan UN Memorial Park.
Beautiful view, but it is not close to metro station at all. About a 30 minute walk from the nearest metro station, next to the Busan Cultural Centre. The garden view is stunning. The Memorial Cemetery and the UN Peace Park are definitely worth a visit.
How to get there take Metro Line 2, get off at Pukyong National Univ. Station, once at the street level find Yongso-ro and walk South on this street. Recognizing the street should be easy, it runs perpendicular to the metro and is busy since it leads to the colleges. This is a college area so you will see a lot of young people and nice stores and eateries. Walk till you get to the corner of the park (about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile). Make a right and walk up along the park. The cemetery is at the opposite end past the arboretum. You will see locals jogging, exercising, or simply contemplating life along your walk across the park. The UN Peace Park is definitely a nice place to go a for calming walk.
There is an option to watch a little
video before you walk around and that was a nice added bonus of info
prior to walking around. the place is adorned with pretty flowers and
perfectly manicured lawns. We happened to be there for the flag changing
and band playing, and that was very nice to see.
while it was beautiful, it was also very sad. looking at the age people died for their country was a very sad reminder of our mortality and meaningful tribute to those who fought and died in the Korean War. There are memorials to each country who sent troops to help in the war. There is also a wall of the casualties for all those killed in action.
